The application allows users to lock and unlock their biometric details and provides an alternative option of using Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) in case of network issues. This means that users no longer need to carry their physical Aadhaar card as the mAadhaar application functions similarly to the physical card.
Users can add their profiles in the app and access them whenever and wherever they want. Up to five profiles can be added using the same Aadhaar number. The mAadhaar app also enables users to share their eKYC or QR code with service providers who require Aadhaar verification before providing Aadhaar services.
